A cozy cottage on a private beach is like something out of a dream. Located on the high banks of the James River, the cottage sits alone at the tip of a peninsula on a white sandy beach surrounded by forest and complete with amazing views of the river. The serene setting is one with nature, featuring trails and paths to explore.
The House
The cottage features a wrap-around deck with amazing views of the river. It’s the perfect size for entertaining a large or small group, complete with a barbecue for grilling, and with plenty of parking, you can invite as many friends as you want. One step inside, and you’re transported to another place and time. Large open spaces with cozy decor and a fireplace to snuggle by make the cottage irresistible. The river breeze circulates through open windows caressing the unique arts and crafts, books and heirloom furniture that fill the space. Easily sleeping six people, the property features a queen bed in one bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a queen sleep sofa and daybed in the living room. Add some sleeping bags on the floor and it’s perfect for a slumber party.
The Beach
Just outside the cottage is your own private white sandy beach to go for a swim or lounge in the sun. The sand extends forever, long enough for a long run or an infinite leisurely walk. The river water is calm and appealing for watersports, such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and canoeing. Crystal clear, warm, and inviting, it’s a refreshing way to spend the summer.
The Views
Magnificent views of the James River from the house make sunrise and sunset all the more special. Guests spend many hours relaxing on the wrap-around deck, enjoying nature as the treetops blow in the breeze and the birds fly from brand to branch. With a stocked supply of games to play and books to read, the cottage is a relaxation oasis with no interruptions but your own.
